Thanks again to all the Team at The Bank for yet another enjoyable stay. Lovely newly redecorated room No 1 was clean, comfortable and spacious. Great breakfasts, plenty of choice. Also good food on evening menu. Look forward to returning again next year.

Having stayed with you previously in Nov, I feel a couple of things weren't so good this time - whilst our room was nice & comfortable ( room 4) housekeeping wasnt so good - t bags not stocked up , only 1 hand towel issued,breakfast sent back as cold .Staff were very nice & helpful.Assuming small issues are addressed , would definately return.Thank you

Lovely room with a lovely view. Breakfast was good. We ate in the restaurant which was nice but would have liked a little more choice.Was disappointed that there wasn’t a cosy lounge to sit in as the bar was very noisy with no comfy seats, only high stools. Would probably go back.

Arrived to a speedy friendly check in and was quickly feeling at home in my large, light room. The room was really easy to access and the location in general is fab for all nearby amenities.

Travelled up for the night from Edinburgh to celebrate my husbands birthday and get some rest after a hectic few weeks.The room was gorgeous - huge, comfy bed, amazing sea view and jacuzzi bath! It was clearly freshly painted as the smell was still there a little! You can hear noise from the bar downstairs, which we very much expected, but it wasn’t as bad as a lot of other similar places we’ve stayed, and my husband was so relaxed he was out like a light at 10pm and didn’t wake up til 9am!We had dinner downstairs in the evening, a beef burger and halloumi fajitas. Both were really tasty, and my husband had the tablet cheesecake for afters which I was a bit jealous of in the end, it was as a delight! Breakfast in the morning was really good, the black pudding was a particular highlight. The staff both at dinner and breakfast were informal but polite, chatty and interested in their guests.We will definitely be back, I think we’ve found our new regular escape from the city! The Hotel is very good, clean and recently redecorated and new carpets. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good as was the evening meal. We were in room 1 which was spacious and overlooked the sea. The problem was that is was virtually over the bar area and the music played until after midnight, so no sleep until then. We complained but it made little difference. We have awarded 4 stars because all the other facilities were good but zero stars for being kept awake. Control the music!

This is a lovely hotel, in a great location.Warm with friendly staff and has everything you need for a great stay. Fridge in the room was a nice touch and the bottles of water were much appreciated. No carpark but free parking very close by so it’s not an issue.

Really good size twin room, with very large bathroom.All clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, despite a different chef stepping in last minute due to an emergency. Would definitely recommend.

The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, helpful and polite.Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the view from the dining room is amazing! The room was clean and warm with nice touches. Lovely little sun trap of a garden. Just a shame there’s no internal access to the dining room from the hotel side, but it’s only a couple of paces on the pavement from hotel door to bar door for the dining room and there’s a supply of umbrellas provided for guests use in case of wet weather. Would definitely recommend!

We have stayed at the Bank on many many occasions and have never had a bad experience, The room 19c was amazing with stunning sea views and comfy bed ensuite facilitythe staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much when asked, Victor was particularly helpful to sum it all up FANTASTIC STAY.....again

We had a two night stay in February,hotel room and ensuite were large and very warm, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good, my only complaints was going into the bar, which was busy, to check in and out and there is no hotel carpark so we had to park about 400 yards away which we found was an inconvenience,we would easily stay again

We had a fab time staying here,the room was very clean,massive comfy bed,the bathroom was huge,with a very large bath.The food was great plenty of choice,breakfast was amazing,very good selection to choose from the menu,it's a definite 10/10 staff very attentive couldn't do enough for you..If you find yourself in Anstruther then the Bank Hotel is your place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bank, the room was really nice with wonderful views over the harbour and the Bath had a Jacuzzi which added that touch of luxury. Staff were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all a great stay, and we definitely will return soon.

Booked three nights as a base for exploring (again!) the East Neuk of Fife. Fantastic room with everything you could ask for. Ate at the Bank as well and the food was very good and reasonably priced - The smoked haddock was to die for! The staff in the dining room, and the breakfast team were first class throughout really friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back!

The Bank is situated in Anstruther High Street. There is no dedicated car park but it is possible to park in the street.The rear of the property has a beautiful view over the mouth of the River Dreel as it enters the sea. Our room was warm, spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and good shower. We ate in the dining room/conservatory (next door) and the food was tasty, fresh and well presented. The staff were lovely and happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Highly recommend a stay here with a sea view room. Hotel room was spacious and clean with a fabulous sea view with a large en suite with shower and jacuzzi bath. Breakfast both days was excellent as was the staff service. We will be back thank you

Lovely warm & cosy room with everything you need for a stay.Breakfast was disappointing however with very slow service.We also had an evening meal & again disappointing.Lasagna came out burnt & had to b sent back.Should never have been served like this.The room was great & bar staff/service efficient & friendly.

The only complaint could be that only one heater was on in the room and the bed was made with the covers folded in at the base of the bed such we had release the sheets so we could cover our necks.Apart from this minor irritant our staywas very good and the food was first class.

The Bank is a good base for a short break in Fife. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Our room was warm, spacious and comfortable with an excellent view over the old harbour at the mouth of the Dreel Burn (not the main harbour), we were fascinated by the changes in the tide and the busy birdlife while watching from our window. Breakfast included a limited buffet and a wide selection of cooked meals. Dinner was from a wide menu with lots of local ingredients. The bar serves real ales alongside the usual brews. Parking is very limited but there is ample free off road parking just a few minutes walk away. Most of the rooms are up or down stairs. The Hotel is very close to the main harbour which has shops, cafes and pubs as well as lots of boats to look at. Anstruther is on the Fife Coastal Trail and there are excellent walks towards Crail and Elie along the shore.

Have stayed at the Bank on numerous occasions now - and it's been great everytime - love the walking -I have introduced the Bank to many of my friends who have also enjoyed themselves very much - the staff are so helpful and welcoming and do their utmost to make sure your stay is a positive one - I will be back very soon - a big thank you

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.I didn’t book room with a view but when I seen how beautiful it was I did ask if there was anything available and the man on duty Vic did try his best to accommodate me. We enjoyed our dinner very much as the steak was cooked to our preference and was so tasty as was our breakfast in the morning.I’m so looking forward to returning and this time I will ask for room with a sea view in advance as the views are truly stunning. As it’s only a short drive from my home so I will definitely be returning. Thank you. X

The first thing that struck us was how warm this hotel was as we arrived in a very chilly spell. Room was clean and spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfast choice which was served hot. We also had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was also excellent.Only one minor complaint which was not at the fault of the hotel, but outside on the Saturday night was so noisy. People leaving the bar shouting, singing and just being so noisy when waiting for their taxis. This noise went on until after 1am. Maybe a notice outside the hotel to remind customers to be quiet as guest are sleeping would help.Overall a great stay.

We have stayed at The Bank on numerous occasions over the past 10 years and have always been very satisfied with the accommodation, excellent food and very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. We will definitely return hopefully sooner than later.

On checking in the staff were welcoming and helpful. Delighted to get the rear room as requested as from experience know it’s a busy weekend andrear rooms suit us better. Room immaculate and great size as is en suite.We had booked dinner and it was very tasty and well presented.Waiting staff attentive and pleasant.During our meal our son had phoned and ordered us a drink, which was a lovely surprise. The gift of the stay was from him and his wife. Enjoyed Anstruther as always and been coming since 1975🤣 the member of staff who assisted us with a slight television issue was charming and resolved the problem. Breakfast as usual was delicious. Overall a lovely stay and hope to return to the Bank I. The not too distant future.

This was a last minute booking for 2 nights in The Bank and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Large comfortable room which was spotless; each member of staff we engaged with was very friendly and happy to help.Our breakfasts were delicious, as was the evening meal - with extensive choices for both.

Had a wee 2 night break and left feeling relaxed and well looked after.All the staff are very friendly and helpful.The bedroom we had was large with the most magnificent view out to the sea.Wonderful watching the tide come in and out.The bedrooms have everything you need and are spotlessly clean.The menu has a large selectionand the food was very tasty.Great value for money.Only one slight issue is that there is not a comfy lounge to sit and have a drink.The bar area is quite functional but is busy with locals which is a good sign.Will definitely be back.

Recently came to the Bank for a three day stay, we have been quite a few times over the years. The staff are very welcoming and the breakfast and dinners are brilliant. Rooms are kept spotless. I would recommend the Bank to anybody wanting to visit Anstruther or thereabouts.

This was our first time staying at The Bank and we were so impressed. From our first contact through to leaving, all of the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.We stayed in 19A- a beautiful, quiet room with lovely views out to sea - and always warm!We ate in the hotel on our first night where the choice and standard of food was so good that we did so again - a first for us when in hotels.I can’t praise this hotel highly enough .

We combined the celebration of a friend with a visit to Anstruther. Fortunately, we chose The Bank as our hotel. A beautiful, spacious room awaited us. The team was friendly and helpful and the pub was a great place to stay.In the morning we had a good breakfast with a view of the sea - great!

We were a family of four including our teenage children. Rooms and bathrooms were a good size, all in good condition and very clean. We were given a warm welcome by all staff we encountered. Hotel is perfectly situated.

The bank ticked all the boxes. Good sized rooms and shower in a central location, a minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants. Superb view from the breakfast room over the harbour and sea. Lovely breakfast. Highly recommended

Stayed in The Bank for 2 nights during a walking holiday. The hotel’s location is excellent. The room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Stayed for 2 nights after travelling from England for a wedding nearby. The location, staff, food, locals and surrounding area were all faultless. Would happily come back for a visit in the summer however the weather for mid-November was exceptionally good. You can point your camera in any direction from the hotel and get postcard worthy snaps.

We spent two nights here and had an enjoyable time. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was lovely as was the wine, we will return.

An overnight stay in Anstruther, picked The Bank at random and glad we did. Very good value for money, a nice room with a lovely outlook. Friendly staff and locals, nice welcome on arrival, had some lunch while waiting for the room to be readied. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel, had booking elsewhere, but breakfast was top notch, freshly cooked and good choice. Will certainly use this hotel again when back in Anstruther.

Stayed here 3 times now twice in sea view rooms abs loved the view rooms spacious bed comfortable dinner when we ate in hotel no complaints as was breafast.Staff couldnt do anymore for you special mention to Victor so helpful and always smiling weve booked to come back in June and will prob have moe stays there next year when ive been stressed through health problems the minute i sit in chair look out at view it just helps so much and thats why i love coming to the Bank

We have visited Anstruther many times over the years and stayed at The Bank. The hotel has always given us very good service and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are very helpful with any concerns you may have. Breakfast is the best and we had an evening meal. The standard of food is excellent.

We had an overnight stay in The Bank. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with a great shower. The safe and fridge were a good touch. We had a few drinks in the well stockedbar and ate in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast. The food was very good and the staff were friendly.The only downside to our stay was later on in the evening we could hear loud music from the bar and when the bar closed the noise from the street woke us up. If I was to return I would ask for a room away from the front.

Our room needed a bit TLC, and a bit noisy being at front, better to get room at back with the beautiful views. However,very clean and had all the amenities you needed. Breakfast was delicious,local produceand great choice.

We have stayed at the Bank on many occasions and never fails to please, we had booked for a 3 day break, On arrival we were warmly greeted by Staff member Victor who really went the extra mile for us as nothing was a problem on request, we had a lovely Breakfast each morning with a really excellent choice on offer and super tasty, we also booked our evening meal which did not dissapoint, waiting staff are really friendly and attentive, our room was spotless and bed very comfortable great shower also, would recommend a stay here 10/10and another special mention to Victor first class.

My friend and I have been many times and always enjoy chill time especially when we are allocatedroom with view over the water. Just wonderful as always changing scenery. Staff are always very pleasant and service is excellent whether in bar or dining room. So very disappointed that we were promised on our last visit that food served on cold plates would be addressed but unfortunately not. Breakfast on both mornings were served o n cold plates. When I mentioned it the answer was that some of the chefs did . I appreciate it that service is more difficult when plates are not but when the food is presented and cooked well why not serve it on a hot plate . Fajitas were exceptionally tasty .

I, along with my elderly mum were booked for an overnight.When I arrived at the hotel it was bursting at the seams with customers.A member of staff attended to me immediately, despite how busy they obviously were, and showed me to our room.I explained that we were going for something to eat then return.Unfortunately, my mum took unwell, at which I decided we would be better returning home.I went back to the hotel and explained to the same staff member.She showed great empathy and understanding, I asked what did I owe but she refused any payment and offered our deposit back.I am very grateful in how this was handled and will make sure that I return to get an overnight.Thank you.

We received a warm welcome and were immediately shown to our spacious, comfortable room.Our evening meal and breakfast were both quickly served and delicious.The prices for the food and drink at dinner were very reasonable.All the staff were very pleasant and attentive.Our only gripe is that our room faced onto the street side which was fairly noisy from folk leaving the bar in 'party' mode which went on past midnight.Next time we will ask for a room to the rear of the building so we can give full marks.

We were here only 2 nights - if I had known how fabulous the hotel was, and what a beautiful town it was in, we would have stayed longer. Comfy bed, large bathroom, fantastic view of the Firth from our window, delicious food in the restaurant - we couldn't ask for more!But we also got a wonderful little town to walk around, with scenic streets, access to the beach, a nature walk up Dreel burn, and lots of history.We will be back.

Large and comfortable room, well appointed.Generous breakfast with lots of choice. Great location and views. Unfortunately advised on check in didn't need to book dinner but turned away at 6.30. Asked if we could maybe book for later, told no. So we didn't eat or drink with you after that.

My friend andI were absolutely delighted with our stay. The accommodation, food were first class, not to mention the cheerful and helpful manner of the young staff! We have been in Anstruther a lot and used to stay in The Craws Nest, which we loved, but as you know, it is no longer there. We have stayed in other places in Anstruthersince, but any future stay will be at The Bank!!

We had a lovely room with those wonderful window boxes to look at. Breakfast was delicious 😋 great selection and fruit was very fresh. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bank during lovely weather.We loved the sea views from our room, and the bed and bath were comfortable.No air conditioning, which made it a bit warm on the days we were guests, but I bet it is fine in normal Scottish weather.

Perfect accommodation for a perfect wee overnight. Room, food and customer service were all great. Perfect location to access all the local walks and amenities.

We visit this hotel every year. The accommodation is fantastic, we go for the superior room and have a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of hot courses.We enjoy the restaurant in the evening, a tremendous range of delicious home cooked food.The staff make the whole experience extra special, nothing is too much trouble.Overall we would throughly recommend the wonderful The Bank and can’t wait until we return!

We booked the family room and I was expecting one room crammed with four beds. But the family room has a large double bedroom, a hallway with the bathroom off it, and a separate bedroom for the children with bunkbeds. This was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. We couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was plentiful and the hot food was tasty, with quick service. We only stayed for one night but had such a lovely experience, wished we were staying longer. Great hotel, will definitely return.

This is our fourth visit to The Bank and yet again we had a great time. Staff are very friendly and attentive, Very comfortable beds and bed linen is so soft and smells great. As "Arnie" would say. WE WILL BE BACK!

The hotel was up to our expectations and the staff were all very friendly polite and professional. The bedroom and bathroom were huge with a lovely sea view from our window. The meals were excellent in the hotel too so would not eat anywhere else

We stayed in the room next to the hotel. It was very clean, quiet, shower had great pressure, the room had light!!! (So many rooms you stay in have lights that “glow”). All the staff were extremely attentive and fun! The pub had a great vibe to it with the pool table well used. Breakfast both continental and hot was quality and quantity. I would highly recommend this for a stay.

We stayed overnight in Room 1 which was massive with a great sea view room and it was lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was huge too with a shower and a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was excellent and included in the rate. We would highly recommend The Bank

Travelling with adults from Australia who loved everything at The Bank.Had two large rooms with fantastic sea views.What an advertisement for Anstruther and Scotland from the warm welcome right through to departure.Cannot fault The Bank at all, loved welcome, rooms, bar atmosphere, excellent staff and breakfast.

We had room 1 which is very large with a huge bathroom and a good view over the sea. It was clean, tidy and well fitted.Dinner was good, as was breakfast.Staff were attentive and hosbitable.Parking could have been an issue but we were fortunate to bag a place outside the front door.Overall, very good and would stay again.

We had a marvellous time at The Bank. Stayed in the hotel & ate in the pub. Our room was very comfortable with an excellent sea view. The food was delicious and all the staff were lovely. They have managed that rare thing of being exactly the right level of attentive where you don’t feel like you are being hovered over but equally are not being ignored or left for too long. We were really impressed with our rooms extremely spacious and clean. Everything was in good working order no issues at all. We were in No 19 a little annex next to hotel with fabulous sea views and the Bass Rock. We had dinner in hotel first night excellent choice and good value. Breakfast was top class plenty of choice well cooked. The selection of fresh fruit was so fresh and local. Staff were lovely especially Victor who took our cases to room and was very pleasant in the bar as well. Would recommend.

Stayed in The Bank for 9 years now and it has been perfect every time. However on arrival this time we reported that the bedroom side lamp wasn't working and it still had been attended to when we left ☹️ that was our one and only complaint.

We stayed at the bank Annstruther on Saturday 1st July as we were going to a family party in Crail. It was a great room we had a superior en-suite double and we had our son with us who slept on the sofa bed all beds were really comfortable and the room was excellent. We also booked in for dinner before going to party and that was great too great value for money I’d certainly recommend staying here we had a great experience both with accommodation and restaurant we will certainly be back.

The Bank Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. All the staff were helpful and efficient, the room was spacious and comfortable and the beer gardens enjoyable.

On arrival, staff member on reception wasn’t very enthusiastic, but ok. Room was nice and spacious, the only complaint is that carpets had few stains. Otherwise lovely building, staircases, high ceilings, back yard is very pretty. View from restaurant is amazing and we enjoyed our food, dinner and breakfast, good quality food. Serving staff was nice too. I would come back next time but would make sure I would book room with sea view otherwise if your room windows looking at front, can be noisy with public in pub. I am pretty sure I did book room with sea view but couldn’t see any info in confirmation email. Anstruther itself is very good place to visit, glorious Fife coast

Stayed at The Bank overnight from the very get go the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, we arrived by car but didn’t know where to park and when I phoned and explained where we were one of the staff members came out to the car and told us where the parking was it was a little bit away so she offered to help us with our bags. She took us to the rooms and helped carry the bags in. The rooms, although a bit tired, were clean we were put into an annex off the main hotel which was we felt, safe and quiet. We had dinner which was lovely and a few drinks afterwards. The bar staff and waitress were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good there was a great choice to be had with big portions that would keep you going through the day and surprisingly, almond milk!There was no rush to check outand again the bar staff were all very helpful and friendly.We enjoyed our stay however, the rooms we had were a bit tired and could do with updating there was a little patio available in the downstairs room but unfortunately there was a bit of a drain smell that was a little off putting. All in all though we had a lovely time at the Bank and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

Check in is at the bar then you are taken to the residential part of the bank. We were given room 4. Room had everything we needed, bed was very comfy, usual tea coffee, fridge. The view we had was fantastic looking over the hotel gardens and the river out to sea and bass rock. Only minor pickiness, but an easy fix is toilet seat needs tightened and shower head needs a new washer to keep the clamp in a higher position. Breakfast was buffy style for cerials, fruit, yoghurt but cooked was to order. Lovely breakfast came and was most enjoyable, again from dining room a cracking view over to the isle of may, bass rock and craigleith

We were mostly very pleased with our stay. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts were terrific. And the beer was excellent!That being said, some constructive criticisms…1. The beer garden could be better maintained intra-day…late afternoon, it tends to be somewhat amiss2. The housekeeper did not clean our room the last day, just left towels outside.3. All rooms with twin beds should have two sets of keys4. Our 1 night stay was a pleasure. We had room 7 which overlooked the harbour beach. Quiet & cosy room which was well appointed. There is a private guest patio in the sun. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Limited parking but free on streets close by. Great find, would definitely recommend

We stayed in a wonderful room with views over the river. All the necessary facilities were in the room and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and chatty. We enjoyed the choice of breakfast including kippers and smoked haddock. This standard can only be supported by the correct culture in the hotel. Well done Bank Management.

Arrived in evening with friends, shown our rooms No6 friends, us No 8, good facilities. Back in next door for later supper meal, last in dinning room but service and food good and timely. Staff very efficient.Good quiet nights sleep, then afull selection of breakfast options with nice views over river/sea front. Reception being the bar counter and again very competent staff to administer accordingly.It was off to the The Isle of May refreshed and very pleased. One negative TV did not work but we reported this.

The Bank is in a great central location with lovely views to the rear. Rooms are spacious and clean.Breakfasts have a great selection of fruit and hot food and are served in the ( hopefully) sunny conservatory.Pleasant staff. Very good value. Would recommend.

It was our first time staying in the area and we were delighted with this small comfortable hotel. Facilities very good, great choices for breakfast. There is also a small patio area for residents to sit outside which was perfect.Only complaint was with the old style windows. Tried to open it to get some fresh air in room but pane looked like it would slip right down so had to close it again.Would be happy to stay here again.

Second time of staying at the Bank, won't be the last. Staff extremely helpful and meals very generous and location excellent and peaceful. Good place as a base to explore the East Fife. Recommend a stay, you will go back.

Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The huge en suite bathroom was clean, with a vast bath (which we didn’t use) and an excellent shower (which we used). We enjoyed the view from our window, across the stream down to the sea and the harbour wall. Our only criticism would be the annex location and access to the room up a flight of steep steps directly from the street, negotiating a door halfway up the steps. It was a bit awkward, and would be an accessibility challenge for some guests. The staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast, but didn’t have an evening meal (arrived too late)

We were extremely delighted to be met by a large kind viking who carried our big cases in a couple of minutes up the stairs!! Our room was luxurious, with amazing views, very clean and had the high ceilings and grandeur to make our stay very special! And the jacuzzi bath was a lovely bonus!!The food was soooh good I have already been spreading the word!! This coupled with friendly staff made our stay unforgettable and my German husband even said he would come to you again!! Only little set back was the parking but negligible when the rest was grade A!

We stayed at the Bank for one week in 2022 and have just returned from a second week there. We stayed in the best double room with a magnificent view over the Dreel burn, and former harbour which is one of the most beautiful views we know.Anstruther is a delightful place to stay and The Bank is well placed to access the harbour and the facilities. The hotel itself is clean and well managed and all the staff are friendly and willing to help in every way.Breakfast is taken in a modern room which offers a superb view and there is a wide variety of food options.There is no residents lounge so that free time needs to be spent in the public bar areas which are spacious but popular.Parking is available for up to 4 cars directly outside the door and a large free car park is easily accessible a short walk away. We have never found this a problem. We have used our time in Anstruther to both walk the coastal path and explore the surrounding area. We feel we have used all our options so probably will not be back but have no hesitation recommending The Bank and wishing its delightful staff all the best.

Arrived in Anstruther late (11pm+) after delayed flight to Edinburgh. Had booked another hotel - but they had closed their doors for check-in and I was effectively stranded. The Bank was open for drinks still and I crashed in and asked whether they could possibly find a room last minute for me - long story short, the skeleton staff at that time pulled out all the stops, found me a room, couldn't have been more obliging. As it turns out, the room was actually lovely too. Bonus on bonus, the breakfast was absolutely top-notch. Can't thank everyone there enough. Would recommend most highly. Bravo.

Stayed in room 6 on the ground floor. Room was huge and spotless with another smaller room at the back overlooking the beach. Despite being at the front there was little noise from people outside coming and going from the bar next door. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and all freshly made.All in all a really pleasant stay and we will be back. Thoroughly recommended!

After several previous stays in the main building, I was surprised to find myself next door.Although the room was lovely and warm and the bed was comfy (the most important things!), I was very disappointed to find a shower instead of a bath.Also, as a single female, I felt much less safe in this room, with very little between me and the outside world and no-one nearby.On the upside though, everyone I dealt with was friendly and the breakfast was superb.I'll certainly be back, but next time, I'll request a room with a bath, on the other side!

We were surprised with how large the room was (especially considering there was a secondary room attached for families with kids or extra guests). The view from the secondary room was beautiful. Despite being on the ground floor and right next to the pub entrance, we didn't really hear people going in and out much. We only heard the guests next door since it was a busy Saturday night. The bus stopped right out front and everything is within walking distance. Check in and check out was a breeze and everything was very clean. The smoked haddock for breakfast was great. The only critique that I would have is that their wifi kept cutting in and out for some reason. Aside from that, we had an amazing time in Anstruther.

Our annual 2 day trip to the Bank was once again a success. The weather was sunny so we enjoyed the residence outdoor area which was a sun trap, not to mention the lovely views. Great choice for breakfast and the usual lovely staff all helped make our trip memorable

Service, room and food were excellent.

We had a lovely one night stay at The Bank. We'd booked the family room and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and were shown to our room which then opened out into two separate bedroooms (one with one with bunk beds and one with large double bed) and a bathroom located between the two rooms. We've previously stayed in family rooms where all the beds were located within one room so this was brilliant to have them split between two rooms but be accessed from one main door. We ate our dinner in the restaurant and although it was a little noisy as we walked back through the bar, as soon as we reached the accommodation part of the hotel it was incredibly quiet. The views from the back of the hotel were beautiful- over the river and sea. And the breakfast was great- large portions of all the different hot breakfast options and a lovely buffet selection as well. Thanks for a lovely stay- we would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Our room was absolutely huge and had a fantastic view! Room was spotlessly clean with a large bed and everything you could need for an overnight. My partner loved the sky sports channels on the tv! Only downside was the windows - it was very windy during the night and we were both woken up several times with the windows rattling both in the bathroom and the bedroom. Overall a fantastic stay.

Our room was excellent, and particularly enjoyed the residents' private garden. Breakfast was excellent, and evening meals were good. Service in restaurant was generally good, but staff sometimes over-stretched.

Accommodation n service were great. The hotel bar was absolutely rammed (Saturday evening) and I’m glad our room was not over the main bar area. Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. Hotel restaurant was busy and we didn’t get a table (kinda glad because bar was very noisy and busy). Ended up at the Wee Chippie which we’d highly recommend.

I always enjoy my stay at the bank.My only gripe, as i explained to your staff was a cistern that ran constantly, and an issue with the pressure with water pipes!These issued i passed on to staff, so hopefully these will have been addressed before maymy next visit.

Had two nights stay. Very cosy and comfortable bed. Everything needed was there EXCEPT there was NO chair in the room. There was a stool at dressing table and nothing else. My husband gets bothered with his back so needs support for it. Had to ask twice before we eventually got a dining room chair. Have stayed at this Hotel many times over 15 years and this is first time we have had any complains. Otherwise very happy, staff friendly and helpful. Food very good as usual.

Returned for another stay at this lovely hotel. Positives were the room and it’s view and all the staff who were exceptionally friendly and efficient.The only negative was the breakfast. It was still good, but just a bit less of a standard than on our previous visits as this time there was no fresh fruit or yoghurts for breakfast, just small boxes of cereal, before the excellent hot options. Also previously the toast was made from lovely artisan breads, which have now been replaced by what appeared to be cheap own brand bread.I would far rather have paid a few pounds more for the breakfast to be as before, this is the wrong place to try and cut costs.

Last minute booking and found a wee gem of a place. Great hotel with super friendly staff as well as a terrific menu with excellent variety . Definitely a place to return to.

Staff where really friendly . Food was top drawer . Clean room . My only quam was the room I had was quite noisy with the traffic . It's not a big deal I still really enjoyed it and would return .

Booked in for wee weekend break. Hotel was clean and room spacious. Friendly staff. We were staying in room to the front it was a bit nosy with being on front and bar. However when closed so quite.Breakfast was good great choice and restaurant was also good and prices too. Would recommend this hotel . We had a great weekend away.

My friend and I had room 19a which is amazing loved sitting at the bay window great view. Bathroom lovely so much space. Stayed at Bank a few times never had that room but will certainly be booking it the next break. Staff were lovely nothing too much trouble. Good food young girl on breakfast on Sunday morning was so busy but did everything with a smile and a chat.

super stay at the bank made special by the staff who were helpful and delightful.The location is brilliant, the rooms immaculate .The bathrooms were very good but would benefit from some toiletries other than just hand gel .We really enjoyed the bar area and the food offering which was very good . The hot breakfast range was extensive and the quality extremely good. The cold options were somewhat limited and could do with a selection of fruit , pasties and yogurt.Other than a couple of observations that did not spil our stay we had a great time at the bank and have no hesitation in recommending it . We hope to return very soon

We stayed at The Bank for 3 nights (Thu - Sun) and we found it to be very welcoming and comfortable.The room was well decorated and warm, with a comfortable bed.We had a view out over the Dreel Burn and onto the sea, which was quite relaxing on the sunny days!The breakfasts at The Bank had a varied choice and were very good. We also ate here twice in the evening and again a good selection and the food was good.The staff were very friendly and attentive, so thanks.There is only about 3 parking spots outside The Bank, so most likely, as we had to after unloading our luggage, is to park for free in a local car park about a 3-4 minute walk for the hotel. If I was staying in this are again The Bank would be on my list to use.

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. The rooms are very clean & comfortable & the food is excellent. Would recommend this place if you are visiting the Fife coast and looking for somewhere to stay.

Clean modern refurbishment of the old National Bank of Scotland branch and manager’s house. We had a view of the old harbour from our bedroom.The Bar and Restaurant facilities are in an adjacent building but here is no internal connection.The restaurant has magnificent sea views and the food good and well presented.Parking was not possible at the hotel but a large free car park was nearby.The staff were friendly and helpful.The town was probably still in winter mode as many shops were not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Bank is a good base to explore the East Neuk from.

The room was brilliant, extremely happy with the shower and comfort of the bed which was a standout for me. Staff very friendly and helpful. General manager really nice guy and again very helpful. If I ever travel up again would stay again and recommend anyone else to stay at the bank too.Thanks guys

We had a great 2 night stay at the hotel. Room was lovely and food was brilliant. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Only thing I think can be improved is perhaps a booking system for breakfast.When we went for breakfast one morning all guests arrived at the same time and there were not enough seats in the dining room. There was a long wait and the staff were under pressure.

We have use many large hotels and small hotels and found them to be either very shabby or in a serious state requiring a complete renovation!The Bank however is really well kept and the staff were outstanding! Very helpful and polite also very pleasant to chat with. I can honestly say that the Bank is our number one hotel and we must have another visit soon!

We stayed at the bank for 3 nights in February, the view from our room was breathtaking, our room was so nice very cosy.We had our meals at the bank and cannot fault any of them very good variety and cooked to perfection.We cannot praise the staff enough, they go out of their way to ensure you are having a wonderful stay, nothing is too much trouble for them, we would especially like to mention Scott, he knows how he made us feel and really cannot thank him enough for making our weekend so special so please pass on our thanks to all staff but especially Scott,we will definitely be returning.

Stayed for one night, dinner bed and breakfast. The room was fantastic and the food was good. The price of a glass of wine was very expensive. Scott was excellent but he was run off his feet as it was so busy with the rugby. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. Thank you.

Our 4th visit to this hotel, but last visit was 2020. Was excellent on first visit in 2018 and has been of the same high standards on each visit. Friendly staff, cosy comfortable rooms which are alway immaculately decorated. Food in restaurant is also excellent.

Just returned from a week's break at The Bank and can honestly say its been an absolute pleasure. The whole setup is a credit to Scott and all of the team at the Bank, nothing was a bother. Our room , as was all of the hotel, was spotless. The food served in the dining room was superb with a great choice available, my wife's favourite was the haddock mornay. We spent just one night at The Bank on a last minute booking as we decided to walk some of the Fife Coastal Path and this was in a perfect location. The room itself was clean, comfortable and the bed was massive. However, we would ideally have appreciated a room with a nice view of the sea so book more in advance if you want that. The breakfast was good with a range of traditional Scottish and English options; gluten free options also available. We also highly recommend the Dreel Tavern for dinner.

Very surprised to find our room was in fact a self contained flat with patio.Very spacious and quiet, although it was sunny too cold to make use of the patio. The staff are lovely, very friendly and attentive. The food was deliciousand a varied breakfast. Only criticism we had was there was no yogurt or fresh fruit at breakfast. Had a fantastic two day break between Christmas and new year. We stayed I a superior room 19A which had a lovely view over the water, the room was a great size and immaculate with sky tv which was a bonus. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant which had a large selection to chose from with really friendly staff to make your stay enjoyable. A great place to relax with great views over the water this was our third time and definitely be back in the new year. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely two days.

We have been coming to the Bank Hotel for quite a few years now and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always spotless, warm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. We arrived early for our one night stay but got into our room with the minimum of fuss. The room was lovely and facilities were ideal for us. A slight hitch to get our tv working, but that was resolved for us. A very enjoyable stay with an excellent breakfast choice, and breakfast provided. Our departure was again handled with the minimum of fuss. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and “We will be back”.

Staff are great, room was lovely with great views, breakfast quick and good quality, convenient for everything, great value for money. The only minor downside and this is just personal, Christmas music loop in the bar on the 23rd November, give me a break, it will come soon enough, Christmas booking for the restaurant don't start yet thats early enough for this, it will wear a bit thin by the 24th Decemeber.

I think this is the third or fourth time we’ve been that includes the Waterfront as well. Always enjoy coming. Staff always helpful and the cleaning and tidying excellent. Only one small thing, my other half Martha was sure there was an option of yogurt at breakfast. We will be back when we can escape grandchildren! Yrs David and Martha.

The hotel provided everything needed for our golf trip . The accommodation was excellent and the food was superb .

Lovely hotel in great location near sea front.Ideal for golfing, visiting East Neuk towns and St Andrews.Large comfortable room with sky TV, fridge, hospitality tray and safe.At breakfast we helped ourselves to juice and cereals.Good choice of hot breakfast which was cooked to order.Hotel also has a very good dinner menu which we pre booked.It was very busy but food was excellent as was service.There is a beer garden and also a private outdoor seating area for residents.Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.There is limited parking at the hotel but a free carpark is nearby.Would recommend.

We chose The Bank as a base for a 3 day golf trip to Fife. The staff were, without exception, efficient and friendly. The rooms were very nice, as was the food, and the service was excellent.There are only two or three car parking spaces available directly outside the hotel although there is a free local car park a couple of hundred yards away.Checking in and out is done at the bar….it’s unusual but it works well.Those of us with rooms at the front of the hotel were occasionally disturbed by traffic noise and loud conversation outside the bar….the windows are single glazed…but this was a minor inconvenience.We would have no hesitation in using The Bank as a base for future trips to the area. It’s a really nice, well-priced, well located Hotel with a friendly feel.

Room was very clean and well set up, the only one thing was bathroom bin hadn't been emptied from last occupant (which is why I gave a 4) The glass shelf holding shower gel was a bit wobbly, but we just had our items on bath rim, just in case. Would have loved a sea view but we know only so many rooms have this. Food great value and breakfast certainly sets you up the day ahead.

We had a lovely stay at The Bank. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and were very impressed with the standard of the food and the excellent value.We booked through Booking.com and paid for a Superior Double room. We were allocated No 27B. On check out, I asked whether this was in fact a Superior double and was told that it was because of the kitchen and the private patio. The kitchen had no crockery nor cutlery so was useless as a kitchen! The "private" patio was beside the beer garden and squeezed beside a fire escape, so not very conducive for a quiet drink. This was a disappointment.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the room, more like a wee self-contained studio flat absolutely spotless and catered for your every need. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile, would definitely return.

A first class evening meal and a very good breakfast which could have been improved with a little fruit.Costs very reasonable and good value.Just one negative comment, the traffic noise in the bedroom, please add double glazing to the next round of property improvements.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Victor- who helped us find a parking space just outside the hotel. The room was stunning with a beautiful view looking out to the beach and water. Room was a great size with comfortable seats and an even more comfortable bed- we both had a great night's sleep!Breakfast was brilliant- with cereal, coffee/tea, juices and a hot option . The food was of a very high standard. Service again was friendly and efficient.Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again- thanks!

This was a lovely hotel . The room was clean and had lovely views. The food was excellent. The only problem was that there was no on site parking although there was a free car park! The twin beds were very thin and I actually fell out of one turning over in bed!

Large comfortable room with lovely sea view. A couple of issues to rectify - a shower head which would not stay upright and erratic wifi which was alsoinsecure. When a problem with the tv remote was reported it was dealt with quickly and efficiently.Food was very good and staff very pleasant.

I had stayed at the Waterfront for 6 nights and moved to the Bank, sister hotel, for 2 nights. Room was spacious with a great view of the sea. Bathroom was super! Our breakfast staff were very attentive and the food was good.

My only comment would be that I was slightly surprised regarding the selection for breakfast.A list on the table stating that only one hot item seemed to include porridge, and my understanding was that you could have porridge and, for example, a full Scottish breakfast, I thought slightly odd.Staff very friendly, helpful and informative.Also, another small comment, above you'll see I am addressed as Dear Rea, a 'ms' before my surname would be courteous.Regards Sheena Rea

Breakfast was ok however we didn't always get what we asked for, like lots of other places I've stayed in this year they said they were having difficulties recruiting which may have explained it. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay - we'll stay there again.

Just a one-nighter, but a big room with a nice view of the sea across the estuary. Could benefit from having a proper shower and not just a tub/shower.

We stayed for one night in Room 6.We were amazed at the size of the rooms, yes rooms!We had booked a double room but we got a suite with a large double room and a second bedroom with bunkbeds and a sea view.There was a fan on when we arrived in the room which was very welcome as it was very hot outside.We had a very comfortable night sleep and a lovely shower over a very large bath.The TV didn't have any signal which didn't bother us as we weren't wanting to watch anything specific.We did report it to the Manager in the morning who thanked us for letting him know so he could sort it before the next guests arrived.Great stay!

We enjoyed our three nights at The Bank.Our room was large and well furnished with a very comfortable bed. It had a fabulous view of the garden, the old harbour and the sea beyond. The room catered for all our needs. Breakfast is included with the room price. There is an excellent choice of hot dishes including several fish options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.We would not hesitate to stay at The Bank again. Our only hesitation was the lack of parking. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Bank provided an excellent base to enjoy the East Neuk of Fife. A good hearty breakfast set you up for the day and with the weather being kind we enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon enjoying a drink or two in the residents private beer garden. Room 1 was spacious and provided an excellent view of Dreel Burn and sea beyond. Only negatives were the overly soft mattress on the bed and perhaps the Bank could release some funds for a new carpet.

We had a great stay. We were in room 1 which was a twin with beautiful views out over the sea. The room was big and spacious with a huge en suite and very comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious with a large choice. The staff were extremely accommodating and always happy to help. We will be back!

After a full day touring Fife, The Bank was a lovely refuge for the night. Free parking close by. Really comfortable bed and room with view towards the Sea and back patio which we enjoyed. Glad we made a reservation for tea as it was busy. Really enjoyable and tasty meal. Would definitely make it a point to stay at the Bank again.

Room, good. Staff good. Food very good but...... My wife has a disability which means going up/down steps can very difficult. We knew before we came there were 3 steps to the bedroom and 3 to the bar/dining room area. Did not seem a problem at the time of booking but reality was different. Old, non standard steps, but with a hand rail it would have helped. We would have gone elsewhere if more information known.

The Bank is a lovely hotel very close to the centre of Anstruther. Although there is no on-site parking, there were plenty of places within a short walk to park for free. There are only a couple of parking spots at the door and these were busy all the time we were there. It is on the main road with a bus stop right outside. There is a convenience store nearby the hotel in case you’ve forgotten anything. It is a very short walk to get onto the main harbour front with lots of lovely wee shops to visit.The hotel building is a mix of one part accommodation block, another part is 2 x one bedroom rooms and in the middle is a bar, restaurant and beer garden. The room we had was one of the two in the separate block. It was very clean and had a lovely comfy bed, and although it had no views to the sea, it had a small private courtyard. This opened into the beer garden, so could be a little noisy up till closing time. The bathroom was very modern, but the shower is over the bath and a tall person would struggle to stand up full height in the shower. The room had everything you could need, lovely bedding, soft towels, TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee etc, and toiletries.The hotel has a small private garden area for guests which is right beside the beer garden, so easy to get drinks while you sit and enjoy the views. The main restaurant should be booked ahead as it is very popular, but you can also eat in the bar area or in the beer garden. The food was delicious!All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at The Bank and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the Kingdom of Fife.

The Bank Hotel never disappoints - this was my first time back for a while and the welcome was friendly, the spacious and comfortable room 19a had a superb view of the Harbour and the full breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

The Bank was a great find. The location is superb and the view from the back of the hotel to the sea is wonderful. Its right in the middle of the town so you can walk everywhere. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was excellent , both the breakfast and evening meal.

Staff and food were excellent - really nice chatting to them and they extremely welcoming and friendly.Meal in the bar was great - lovely atmosphere of locals and visitors.However, the window in the room has been painted shut and it was very, very warm in there, although I asked them to fix this problem it cold not be fixed, even though they knew it as an issue as a previous guest had also mentioned it.The mattresses are ancient and have have been flipped and turned as they are SO worn out, I know this because the mattress was so bad that I removed the duvet from its case (it was tropical in the room anyway so could never have slept with it on) folded it in three and then put it onto he mattress under the bottom sheet to pad it out a bit,thus revealing that the mattress are 'toe to head' to try and extend their already worn out life!The road outside (on ground floor) is very busy and noisy with traffic and people - clearly hotel cannot do anything about this but its something to consider.Plus points on the room - it was larger and spacious, had a desk with plug points and mirror (so often overlooked by hotels!) and there is a small fridge.

We had to stay over in the east neuk and I thought it looked nice online. Our bedroom was beautiful with a gorgeous en suite and comfy bed. Attention to details was spot on. The breakfast choice was varied and each of us enjoyed it very much. We will definitely return and recommend to friends. We’ll try dinner next time!

Our only criticism centered around the lack of internet access in the rooms. Although you advertise it’s available, it’s not useable in the room. And instructions on how to operate the tv would be appreciated. Switching it on should give pictures but we just got the ‘no signal’ message. Help arrived after ten minutes, pressed one button and said ‘someone had pushed the source button’. Well without instructions, how was i to know that?Will definitely be back though, the internet issues haven’t clouded our thoughts. Lovely place, great location and good staff.

Been coming to The Bank since it was refurbished a number of years ago and never disappoints.This week was no exception. The standard of the rooms has always been surprisingly high, but have noticed some of the fixtures getting a little bit tired, but no bid issue, at present. We experienced a lack of water in the morning, which was odd, but our friends in the adjacent room were running a bath! Maybe something for the plumber to investigate. We have recommended so many of our friends over the years to pay The Bank a visit, and never ever received any negative feed-back.

The Bank gets better year on year rooms, food and service are all superb and it is in great location close to all Fife’s attractions. We play golf and as a group it is a fantastic place to stay. We are already booked in for next years trip.

We just got home from our latest stay at The Bank. As usual we had a most enjoyable time and found the staff and service to be top class as is the norm.Already talking about our next visit hopefully later this year.

The Bank was our second choice, but we were not disappointed. Great room, plenty of space, very clean. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

Our room 27b was amazing... everything you could want and a great comfy bed. Airy and bright, studio with garden- chairs and barbecue!! Great shower and bathroom too. Any guests should park at the free car park near the co-op at top of the hill, as there is no where near to park in Anstruther and other car parks have fixed duration and charge.Arrived at the bank and the accommodation area is a separate entrance from the bar and restaurant. Better signage about how you need to check-in at bar would have been helpful as sign only indicates if not-one there then to go to bar.Rooms was modern and clean. But room was very hot probably as weather a bit milder but heating not been adjusted yet. Food was excellent and friendly and helpful service from staff. Fab breakfast too.

Everything was great apart from location of room, which was at the front and was very noisy on both evenings we were there.I realise there is not much you can do about that.Only suggestion would be to add in double glazing to remove the noise.

On our first visit to The Bank we found the whole experience wonderful. The staff are all so friendly and helpful always very attentive to your needs. The menu at both breakfast and dinner is very extensive for the size of the hotel and we stayed for 3 nights and intended to eat out a couple of the nights but after dinner on the first night we ate in the hotel all 3 nights. Our room which didn’t have a sea view was still very pleasant, large and a really nice large bathroom. We will most certainly go back.

The room was clean and smart with a very comfortable (and enormous!) bed. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.Unfortunately, location has both a plus and minus. Right in the centre of Anstruther, which is great. However because the rooms are attached to the Bank pub and some rooms (e.g. ours) face onto the main road, there is the double challenge of noisy pub customers on the street late at night and traffic noise from very early in the morning.Breakfast was fine.

We really enjoyed the bank. The setting is lovely really liked the terrace and glass dining room. Thought all the staff were excellent they were very friendly and welcoming. The room was fine but would like a back one for the view next time. Cleanliness of the room was really good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stayThe staff ( 2 Cammys) could not have been more helpful. We had great difficulty with the TV in room 19c . Also it did not work in the little adjoining lounge. Cammyfixed it in the room and we got some channels but it disappeared again. The hot tap in bathroom very difficult to put off. Kept running. Waste of your hot water. We did get it off but had to use a towel for grip . But, as I said on the whole very nice indeed.

We have stayed at the Bank on a few other occasions and always enjoyed our stay. Our friends gifted us a 2 night stay for our silver wedding. Yet again we were not disappointed. Spent a lovely two nights at the Bank. Room was spotless, facilities excellent, breakfast and dinner superb with the staff efficient and friendly. Only observation would be allocating a couple in their 70’s a room 2 flights of stairs up with no lift could backfire if they were not fit. Perhaps this could be established at time of booking.

We stayed in the hotel for our honeymoon and it was genuinely excellent stay and service. Staff couldn't do enough for us, the extra touches were much appreciated.The room (19A) had a stunning sea view and was huge, had equally large bathroom with full size bath and separate shower. The shower was great, v.powerful :). Breakfast served in conservatory area with gorgeous views was very tasty and wide variety of choices. Eggs Benedict was a winner as was full breakfast. We will definitely be back soon.

Clean and spacious and the staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner we had one evening. Only slight drawback was the difficulty in parking close by.

We had room 19a which was nice and big with a lovely view over the harbour and out to the Firth of Forth. The room and bathroom was spotless and had everything you could need. The breakfast was lovely and the staff all very friendly. Car parking is pretty close by,just a walk up a wee hill. We would use again the next time we're staying in Anstruther.

Recently redecorated, good sized rooms, good breakfast and excellent dinner. Staff were helpful and efficient. Negatives were that the heating never came on, room door would not lock from the inside and blind in bathroom would not come down. Because the room was so cold I didn't enjoy my stay but in fairness I didn't alert the staff to this problem. The lounge was a noisy public bar.

Lovely comfortable stay in The Bank. Food was really nice , had a meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Staff very friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Really big room with huge bathroom with bath & large walk in shower. The room had bay windows with amazing views towards the harbour.Tea coffee & hot chocolate all available in the room.The breakfast was very good. I didn’t eat in the hotel but I wished I had as the fish & chips on the sea front was not very good & the food going past me as I sat in the hotel bar looked & smelled great.All of the staff were excellent & very friendly.We will definitely be back & recommend the bank to anyone.

Great value, highly recommend. This was our first stay, certainly will not be our last. From the moment we stepped in through the door the staff were friendly, helpful and could not do enough for us. Food, room, view, drinks, location - all excellent. I loved the room, it was large, very clean and the bed was so comfortable. My husband and I loved our stay.

Most important, for that price , the room was really really spacious , with big bathroom, with view for river which was really nice. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed a patio for gueststhat is just few feet from that river! Staff very friendly, nice restaurant, and very good breakfast! i would reccomend!

The main aim of my trip was to sample walking the Fife coastal path and relax from my “daily life” which includes caring responsibilities 24x7.The hotel provided an excellent base with its very good standards of the room, the care of the staff, the food and the real ale. I would however would have liked a comfortable chair in my room where I could do some reading. I sat up on the bed to do this -not ideal.

Stayed for one night and had a great stay at the Bank. Food and staff were fab. Only negative is the lower room we were in can be a bit noisy being directly underneath the bar area. Otherwise great little find. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay on returning to the Bank for our second time. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable by being so amenable and friendly. They fixed our T.V when we couldn’t as soon as we asked and even called around to another restaurant when they were fully booked and couldn’t seat us in their restaurant. The room was lovely. Clean and smelled newly decorated. Its just a really nice place to stay and was great value for money. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have an easy but quality stay in Fife.

We had a large room at the front of the hotel. It had everything we needed and a large lovely bathroom stocked with soap, shower gel,shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast was excellent with an extensive menu of good quality ingredients. We were there out of season and midweek and it was quiet. Early morning traffic may annoy some but we are early risers. If anything negative it would be that the room was very hot during the night.It was excellent location wise, two minutes walk from the shore.

We decided a few days away in March in the East Neuk would be a good break.Your website showed your hotel to be very suitable for us….and it exceeded our expectations.Extremely friendly and efficient staff, very spacious bedroom and en-suite with fantastic sea views and central but quiet location.We ate twice in the sunroom restaurant which offers a varied uncomplicated menu. Also a characterful Bar with a great atmosphere.Thoroughly recommend…we will be back.

Had a brilliant stay at the Bank we were a family of 4 adults with a young baby and the staff were brilliant with him and looked after us at breakfast. The rooms we had were amazing especially as we had a travel cot in one of them - still lots if room and everything that you need is provided. Had a great time and will be back.

We really enjoyed our three nights at The Bank at Anstruther. Large comfortable room with large separate bathroom. Comfortable bed, full Sky TV package a bonus that you tend not to see in other hotels. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast choice was excellent and food was really well cooked. We had dinner one night and both food and wine were delicious. Hotel is only a short walk from all local amenities. Only down side, we had a room facing the front which was a little noisy but I wouldn’t want to complain about that and it certainly didn’t spoil our visit. Would certainly return. Thanks for having us!

We had a lovely room, freshly painted, with a huge bed and large en-suite. Some noise from traffic, but not much during the night.The hotel itself was very friendly, both in the bar and restaurant. Location great for beach and shops. Would love to go back!

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the bank. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and it was great to have tea/coffee in the room. The staff are wonderful from the bar staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff everyone was so helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was delicious each morning, we also ate in the restaurant and our meal was great. We have stayed at the bank on three occasions and will definitely be back hopefully soon.

Comfortable stay not in room we had booked but room was fine we had stayed in it before one issue in all the rooms we have stayed in have only one comfortable chair Also felt standard of food had gone downhill and on the last morning I found hard red plastic in my breakfast

Large room with all you need, breakfast was really good something for everyone as was the evening meal. Top tip ask for a roomto the rear of the property.as front rooms get all road and street noise at closing time.

First time visiting this hotel but I hope it wont be the last. Not much to look at from the front but once inside it was absolutely stunning from the dining area to our bedroom. Excellent food and great service from all the staff we met.

Pleasant stay, apartment style basement room was spacious and bright,could have been a little cleaner, coffee table looked like it hadn't been cleaned from previous guests and shower leaking but apart from that we had a lovely night.Ate in the restaurant which food was excellent.

My husband and I stayed recently at The Bank for a long weekend.The location is excellent with lovely views and close to shops, bars and restaurants.The hotel itself is charming, clean and very welcoming but what really stands out in The Bank is the attitude and efficiency of all members of staff.They are helpful and go over and above the call of duty, especially Cammy who work in the bar.Hopefully I’ve spelt his name correctly.We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great size room, great facilities, including a super size TV, super clean and very well decorated. Plus a fab bathroom with big fat towels.Though the bar was very busy in the evening staff did a great job with dinner. Breakfast was delicious, the team were excellent - Thank you, we’ll be back!

I had booked 3 rooms for our family.the rooms are brilliant.so big and our bathroom was amazing_ room 1.it had a jacuzzi bath and separate shower.never got chance to use jacuzzi but can't wait to come back and will request same room.The rooms had plenty towels, toiletries and also tea coffee biscuits.Breakfast was so good.every choice available and service was very quick.Thank you so much.cant wait to go back

Rooms were immaculate both in terms of decor and cleanliness. Very well organised for table booking system for watching rugby matches on TV. Food and bar service friendly and efficient as usual. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Leah and the team. Looking forward to next years trip already.

My husband & I had a very pleasant, comfortable stay in one of the sea view rooms, very nice, relaxing, great sleep, breakfast was delicious, would definitely recommend, a great way to relax after completing some of the Fife Costal Walk!

The hotel is in a great location and the view from our bedroom (room 1) was stunning.The room itself was huge but too stark.It needed softening touches such aspictures on the walls etc.Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly and efficient.No car parking but we were able to park in a street nearby.

Stayed 2 nights. Beautiful room, nice staff and very good location/ breakfast. Just be aware if you have mobility issues there are stairs to contend with, even entering / exiting.Would highly recommend

Myself and two friends stayed at the Bank last weekend when we went to a wedding at the Cow Shed. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room we had was very large well equipped and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant before we went to the wedding reception and it was really lovely great fish and chips and puddings . Great selection at breakfast . Overall a lovely weekend.

Accommodation was very clean & modern, we booked 2 rooms, a family room that was huge & a double room that was a good size too and further I would compare these to a lot of 5 star hotels we’ve stayed at, lovely. The bar/restaurant was brilliant with a real warm hospitable vibe, the food very good and the service from all was impeccable but a special thank you to Amy that looked after all our needs with nothing being any trouble. Lastly being located right on the sea front the views were fantastic with a beautiful beer garden leading directly ontoa beech, amazing. We will definitely return & thanks to everyone at The Bank, 5 stars from the Morgans.

I used the above word because in January it is cold and having to manoeuvre through two sets of double locked doors and go outside to reach the dining area was different. We are in our seventies.Next time we shall ask for the main hotel.There were issues with the room of which we informed the staff. Curtain rail and taps.However, we really enjoyed our stay. The spacious room was warm and we loved the views. You have a good cook/chef with excellent menus for both breakfast and dinner. We ate with you every night!Good beer too, and most bars do not have my favourite rose, White Zinfandel.Every member of staff was well trained and keen to please.It was a pleasure to stay with you.

We stayed midweek overnight. Room was freshly decorated . Plenty of tea, coffee etc and complementary bottles of water kept cold in the fridge.Our evening meal was wonderful, service was very good too.Breakfast this morning was plentiful and varied and again good service.

Extremely welcoming staff. Excellent Dinner & drinks ( all very well priced ) . Equally greatbreakfast with lots of choice , great coffee, generous portions throughout .Would recommend & stay again . Only negative was that our room (19c) , had a coombed ceiling which my Husband bumped his head on a couple of times as you had to bend to get in & out of bed . Also door lock was a bit tricky (Albeit , this was pointed out to us . ) Think it needs fixing . Have deducted star for these points. Comfy bed . Nice touch having a fridge & comp water . Well appointed bathroom with very nice toiletries . Beautiful view .

We have just had a two night break at this wee gem of an hotel in Anstruther. This is our 4th visit and we are never disappointed. Rooms beautiful and very clean. Sea view rooms are fabulous and you never tire of watching the changing view. Breakfast and evening meals delicious. The staff are courteous, pleasant and very helpful. Don’t hesitate to book for your next trip away.

Great stay as usual we stay every Year at same time missed last year dur to Covid delighted to be back this year. The Bank is our chill space when visiting telatives in the area. Breakfast good the Bank lived up to its usual high standards

Most impressed with the standard of accommodation and value for money. We paid £80 for a lovely spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, best poached eggs I have ever had! Compliments to the chef. Staff also were friendly and helpful.Unfortunately I didn’tsleep very well due to noise from the music from the bar and an awful lot of young people making a lot of noise in the street right below my bedroom window.I accept however that given the time of year this is not a regular occurrence.

Great local hotel. You could pay much more at a large chain hotel or a stay in St. Andrews. However, it is doubtful you would get the same service and standard of room. Great pub and restaurant......Just a great place to stay and the staff are excellent.

Spent a relaxing night at the Bank. A wonderful comfortable room, with the added bonus of a private terrace. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Could do with a hook on the bathroom door.

Stayed for 1 night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and as a lone female traveller it felt very safe and welcoming. The room and en-suite were both huge and extremely clean. Although the hotel itself doesn't have parking there was plenty of free on-road parking nearby. The only comment I would make is that the one-hot-item-only rule for the included breakfast means things like porridge or poached eggs are considered equivalent to eggs benedict with smoked salmon, or a full cooked breakfast which seems a little odd. If I'd had the choice I'd have really liked a kipper and a poached egg but the menu doesn't allow for this. I opted instead for the veggie breakfast which was nonetheless delicious. Overall I'd definitely stay again and would recommend The Bank to anyone else visiting the area.

We have stayed at the Bank, many times over the last few years and the standards of the rooms and service have always impressed. Key to their success has to be the staff, they always go out their way to be helpful. Many so called "superior" establishments could learn much from the standards set here. As always I look forward to my next visit.

The room was superb, large with views down to the Harbour and out across the Forth.The bathroom was similarly large.The staff were nice and helpful, and breakfast in the hotel was very good.The hotel is extremely handy for Anstruther and for the coastal road.The only defect - a major one - was that the WiFI is very weak, and particularly bad in some rooms; furthermore the hotel has set up an insecure and intrusive captive portal which adds insult to injury by requesting your details every few minutes while not accessing the internet.Being cut off like this made it hard to work or do basic admin.

Very welcoming and hospitable staff. Our roo m was large, comfortable and well-equipped. There was a fair amount of traffic noise from the road outside. The beer garden area outside is excellent. The food is very good indeed, with a variety of dishes, many using local products. Impressive breakfasts. We would happily stay here again.

We had a very pleasant stay, and it was good value for money. We had a large bedroom with all main facilities required and especially significant was the lovely outlook from the windows. Only downfalls were the requirement to go outside and through the bar to get to the dining area, and absence of parking, (although once located the public car park was only a short distance). All staff were very helpful and friendly. We would use this hotel again.
